All-Air introduces new rear suspension airbag helper kits for VW Amarok

All Air Suspension has introduced a new Ride-Rite rear leaf spring helper kit for the Volkswagen Amarok, which, with a five-star ANCAP safety rating and smooth power delivery and performance in harsh conditions and under heavy loads, is a popular choice for mining, energy, trades and industrial worksites.

The kit – specifically engineered by Airbag Man for the Amarok – features heavy duty Firestone airbags, which are durable and easy to install and are designed to allow users to maintain correct vehicle ride height with enhanced steering and braking stability as a result – even under a heavy load.

Users can adjust the airbags for varying loads and road conditions by simply inflating or deflating, just like inflating a tyre. Firestone Ride-Rite airbags provide extra support for leaf suspensions in light trucks, vans, utes, 4WD’s, SUV’s, caravans and motor homes. Airbags are used for front-to-rear and side-to-side levelling control of a vehicle. This enables a vehicle to “level up” when carrying heavy, uneven loads and when towing caravans, boats and trailers.

Reducing spring sag and stress on the suspension can decrease tyre wear and maintenance costs, says All Air Suspension’s General Manager, Mr James Maslin.

Firestone Ride-Rite airbags – the world’s No 1 air spring – are designed to fit between a vehicle’s chassis and the axle / leaf spring to provide levelling control, front-to-rear and side-to-side, when a vehicle is under load. The heavy duty double convoluted airbags are a two ply, reinforced rubber bellows.

The kits are also designed to improve the ride, safety and durability of work vehicles carrying heavy and uneven loads and towing trailers, and also to improve the performance of recreational vehicles, including mobile homes and vehicles towing caravans and boats.

The air springs do not increase the vehicle’s load capacity – they are designed to optimise the performance, within the vehicle’s limitations. Users should not exceed the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM).
“The kits have benefits when the vehicle is loaded or empty, towing or not towing, because the air pressure takes the strain off existing metal springs, preventing sagging and helping them to last longer,” says Mr Maslin.

All Air also has a large range of On-Board Air Control kits and components that include compressors, gauges, switches, valves, fittings and tubing, to complement any specific vehicle needs.
